Tidball tapestry comb
$12.00
Harriet Tidball described and photographed this comb in her Shuttlecraft monograph-Contemporary Tapestry published in 1964. I purchased several dozen of these unfinished. So I gave them to Conrad Witt to finish. He curved the teeth into a curved tip and finished it’s tail to a sharper point. The combs are walnut and have no finish. The comb is 9inches long, 2.33 inches wide and .33 inches thick. Cost 15.00
Description
Harriet Tidball described and photographed this style of tapestry comb in her Shuttlecraft monograph-Contemporary Tapestry published in 1964. I purchased several dozen of these unfinished. So I gave them to Conrad Witt to finish into a usable tool. He curved the teeth into a curved tip and finished it’s tail to a sharper point. The combs are walnut and have no finish. The comb is 9 inches long, 2.33 inches wide and .33 inches thick. The pick on the end is a wonderful tool for placing and tapping your wool wefts into place.
